CTPark Bucharest West warehouse named best logistic building in Romania

CTP is honoured to have received the “Best Warehouse Development & Developer” award at the 2020 CIJ AWARDS Romania—the longest-running commercial property awards event in Romania, which took place this year on 3 December. The award represents recognition of CTP’s success story as a European developer on the Romanian market. In only five years, the company has become the leading premium industrial parks developer in the country, offering high-performance logistical solutions to its clients.

With a total area of 140,000 m2, CTP‘s winning project, “Warehouse BUW17”, is the largest high-performance building in Romania. The new warehouse at CTPark Bucharest West is a one-piece building, 700 metres in length, with 140 docks and 15 drive-ins, thus delivering high performance for its users. Moreover, the building exceeds all energy efficiency and environmental standards in Romania, including full LED lighting and use of recycled grey water from the retention basin. Like all CTP buildings, the new warehouse is BREEAM certified. CTP’s investment in the project amounts to EUR 60 million.

CTP entered the Romanian market in 2015 and soon after became an industry leader. The company currently owns and operates 15 successfull logistical parks (CTParks) in Romania, with a gross leasable area of over 1,250,000 m2 of Class A warehouses in 10 cities across the country. CTPark Bucharest West has strategic location on the country’s logistics map: adjacent to the A1 motorway 23 km from Bucharest, it offers more than 200,000 m2 of leasable area to over 100 companies operating in the e-commerce and logistics fields. CTP owns a gross lettable area of 6 million m2 at the European level and aims to extend the size of its portfolio to 10 million m2 by 2023. As it expands, CTP’s goal is to achieve operational net-carbon neutrality by 2021 by relying on two main strategic directions: BREEAM certification of its entire building portfolio, and the creation and conservation of forests in the immediate neighbourhood of newly built warehouses.
